ShowEngineering is actually just one random dude. My name is Hugo Woesthuis and event technics have been on my radar since a very young age. I have been making and tinkering with electronics at a very young age, and in high school I got introduced to event lighting. It turned out to be really fun to do, so I became responsible for all the lighting at school events.
Later on, I moved to my local venue where I further growed in operating lights. In the meantime, I also started to creatively play with different lighting setups for my high-school's parties. There my interest for lighting design became a thing.
Now, I am a lighting operator and designer who has gotten the oppertunity to create some great stages, with broad interest in the entire industry. Besides the lighting part, I also operate live audio, I am a licensed pyrotechnician and I also produce music and DJ in my spare time. I also happen to be a Creative Technology student at University Twente.
